About Roebling Works

We build the digital version of public infrastructure that lasts.

The civic and government practice of tripleNERDscore, based in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania.

John A. Roebling, and the Works

We are named for John A. Roebling, the engineer who founded Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, invented wire rope, and designed the suspension bridges that culminated in the Brooklyn Bridge. In Pittsburgh he built the Smithfield Street Bridge in 1845 and a suspension bridge over the Allegheny River in 1859.

His son Washington Roebling carried the Brooklyn Bridge forward, and Emily Warren Roebling, Washington's wife, completed it, becoming the project's on-site engineer when illness confined him. The original Roebling factory complex was called, simply, the Works.

The throughline we carry: public infrastructure, engineered with care, that still carries load more than a century later. We build the digital kind.

McKees Rocks, in the Pittsburgh region

Home base is McKees Rocks, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, a HUBZone-eligible location in the same region where Roebling's Pittsburgh bridges still stand. It is fitting ground for a practice about durable civic infrastructure.

Roebling Works is the civic and government practice of tripleNERDscore, a Pittsburgh digital agency. We are the serious, procurement-facing face of that company, focused entirely on the public sector. The parent relationship is a quiet endorsement, nothing more: an agency of tripleNERDscore.

Four commitments

01

Access is a right

We treat accessibility as a civic obligation and a craft, never a compliance burden to minimize.

02

Respect the public's time

Plain language and clear structure, because a public service should never make people work to understand it.

03

Build to outlast us

Maintainable systems on proven technology, so the work survives the administration that ordered it.

04

Say it plainly

No buzzwords, no overpromising, and honest about what is done and what is still in progress.

The people who carry the load
